Colombo City
Colombo city is the Commercial capital of Sri Lanka situated 37 Km from the Bandaranaike International airport, on the West coast of the island. It is a vibrant city with a perfect blend of different cultures, which prevailed for more than six centuries. Its importance as an ancient trading port, due to its harbour and its strategic location along the East west trade route, increased after the arrival of the Arab traders and Portuguese to the island in the early 16th century and continued to develop under the Dutch and British.
