Airport - Negombo
Meet and greet upon arrival- Transfer to hotel in Negombo. City tour of Negombo if time permits or at leisure at the hotel.
Negombo– a touristic beach resort located close proximity to the airport, where the hotels and beach resorts are widely considered as a transit point.

Negombo - Dambulla
Leave early at around 7.00 am after early breakfast for Pinnawela-visit Elephant Orphanage.
The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage– The orphanage was set up by the National Zoological Gardens to feed, nurse & house baby elephants abandoned by their mothers, stranded in the jungles and ravines.
Afternoon proceed to Dambulla-visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple.
Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. It has a history which dates back to 1st Century BC. It is one of the largest and best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka.

Dambulla - Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa
Leave after early breakfast for Sigiriya- climb rock fortress.
The Sigiriya Rock (considered the 8th wonder of the world ) also called the ‘fortress in the sky’ or ‘Lion rock’ , rising 200 metres above a forested plain. It is now believed to be the palace of King Ravana (the demon king from the famous legend the Ramayana tale) long before it was made the palace and fortress of King Kasyapa in the 5th Century AD.
Pm leave for Polonnaruwa. Explore the ruined city.
Polonnaruwa– was declared the capital of Sri Lanka by King Vijayabahu I, from the 11th to the 13th Century. He defeated the Chola Invaders, to reunite the country once again under a local ruler. The medeival City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Polonaruwa - Matale - Kandy
Leave after breakfast for Kandy. En-route make a short stop in Matale- visit a spice garden and Aluvihara Temple.
Kandy- is considered as the second largest city in the island after Colombo. It was the last bastion of the last king of Kandy. The Kandyan kingdom was subjected to several attacks by the Portuguese and later the Dutch invaders before it fell to the British. Sri Lanka however regained independence from the colonial rulers in 1948.

After breakfast, leave for Peradeniya- visit the Royal botanical gardens.
Evening watch a cultural show of traditional kandyan dancers and drummers.
Royal Botanic Gardens Peradeniya, is 150 acres in extent located near the Mahaweli river. It is about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy and attracts over 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of more than 4000 species of plants including the Orchids, spices, herbal plants and palm trees.

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast- head for the cool climes of the hill capital of NuwaraEliya- You will be passing through some of the panoramic views of the mountains, valleys and some exotic waterfalls enroute surrounded by the Tea plantations. En-route visit a tea factory and taste some fine tea produced from the same tea garden which is a unique experience by all means.

Leave after breakfast leave for Ella- Enroute make a short stop in Bandarawela. Visit the Dova temple, Adhisham bungalow and St Benedicts monastery.

The Dova Rock Temple comprises of murals and inscriptions dating far back as the 1st century BC. The huge partly completed 8 Meter high, rock-cut standing Buddha figure, carved on the face of the rock cliff is one of its main highlights. Adisham Bungalow is a 19th century building built during the British period. It was the holiday retreat of Sir Thomas Villiers, a distinguished British resident in Sri Lanka.
Afternoon proceed to Ella. Visit the Ravana Ella falls if time permits.

Ella - Tissamaharama
After breakfast leave for Tisssamaharama- enjoy an afternoon 4wd jeep Safari at Yala national park-
Yala National park- is home to several herds of the the Asian Elephant. It is also famous for the Leopard, sloth Bear and wild Boar and wild Buffalo.
Pm proceed to the Pilgrim city of Kataragama. Night visit the Kataragama temple on time for the daily Pooja ritual.
Kataragamam temple in Kataragama, Sri Lanka, is a temple complex bordering the Menik River, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is one of the few religious sites in Sri Lanka that is venerated by the Buddhists, Tamils, Muslims alike.
Overnight stay in Tissamaharama-
Tissamaharama - Galle
Leave after breakfast for Galle- enroute you will be passing Weligama to see the Fishermen on stilts. On arrival in Galle, visit the Galle Dutch Fort.
Galle Dutch Fort– Declared a LIVING world heritage site by UNESCO. The Portuguese came to Galle in 1505, followed by the Dutch in 1640. After Colombo fell to the British in 1796, the fort was used as an administrative center, which is still functional to this day”.

Day 10 – Galle | Colombo | BIA Airport
Departure transfer for the airport on time for the onward flight back home.
